This is the easiest way to send your photos , videos , documents file from your android mobile phone to your laptop computer or another phone . For transferring your file you need a app , There are various app in the android market for this purpose in which some are free and some are paid . but here I am explaining you the simplest and free one. So lets get started , you can follow the below mentioned steps or you can watch a video tutorial explaining the details.
I am using here a android app named as – Fast file transfer , This app has been developed by Florian Draschbacher. The main advantage of transferring files via wifi is its data transfer rate is very high and it can even transfer bigger files in very less time.
Step 1 : Go to Google play store and in the search box type – Fast file transfer , and make a search . Now install the app on your phone .once installation is successfully completed.
Step 2 : Open the app and go to settings , Enter any name , which will be used as your device wifi name ie. SSID. Now create a password which should be minimum 8 digit. This password will be required for authentication at the time of making connection between your phone and laptop. And save the settings.
Step 3 : Now go to your phone file manager or gallery , select the files which you wish to transfer and click on the triangle button ( share button) , you will find all the options available in the phone to send the file , like Bluetooth , email , Fast File Transfer , etc . Select the option – Fast File Transfer. This will automatically turn on your phone wifi.
Step 4 : Now turn on the wifi of other device ie. Laptop or phone to which you need to send your files. After that look for available wifi networks . you will find the name of your phone , click on your phone name wifi network and enter the authentication password , which you had created in step 2.
Step 5 : Once your phone get connected to laptop . you need to open any browser in your laptop and enter the ftp url as prompted in your phone screen . After that hit enter key , now all your file will start downloading in your laptop which you had sent from your android phone.
